Unit Pricing

There is an approximate method which is simpler and faster called unit pricing. The basis of this method is the development of average prices to cover the total installation costs of units of work. These unit prices include allowances for material, labor, direct job expense, overhead and alternate cost. They are expressed as cost per 100 feet of conduit, per 100 feet of wire, per circuit breaker, etc. Examples of unit prices are shown in the following table:
